Resumen:
The goal of this paper was to discourse on “Teaching the Bible as a guiding instrument for children in situations of social vulnerability”, dealing with themes related to infancy, historical and pedagogical aspects, the vulnerability of childhood in Brazil and in Rondônia, as well as the child in the biblical context. It was done through bibliographic survey and reflections related to the experience of the researcher in Bible teaching for children and youth in situations of vulnerability. One sought to investigate, in this way, how Bible teaching can contribute to the wholistic development of children in situations of social vulnerability, with emphasis on Bible teaching outside and inside the Evangelical Church. Through this study, one observed that the concept of infancy has been transformed throughout history, with relevant advances, such as, for example, the creation of the Children’s and Adolescent’s Statute (ECA) in Brazil. However, the path is still long, mainly, for the children in situations of vulnerability. In this sense, Bible teaching can contribute to the full development of these children, being that family participation is of fundamental importance.
