Abstract:
This present work of master's degree has as theme the school management, as it is democratic and based on ethics. In times of increasingly less solid and disposable values, the school is fundamental to the development of the critical skills of learners. Brazilian institutions, although democratic in their definitions, still show themselves as verticals in their relations. The school, by its action, reflects this verticality. The challenge of school management goes beyond to provide only the empirical knowledge, it is for the joint construction of an educational project that aims at the construction of citizenship. Thus, through bibliographic research, stand out the concepts of democracy and ethics that are fundamental to a participatory awareness and of responsible conduct. Such concepts are central to the school management conduce efficiently the school administration, as a mediator and facilitator in building a reflective knowledge and in the mediation of citizenship.
