Resumen:
The public high school in Rio Grande do Sul has been the stage of much uneasiness and many uncertainties. As of 2012 a new pedagogical proposal has been implemented constituted by a polytechnic education with the goal of training students for the world of work. In spite of efforts to obtain a reduction in the indexes of repeating grades and of school dropout, the public school sees itself challenged by the difficulties with the methodological issues with regard to learning, imposed by a new modern paradigm which obligates one to have an attentive look at daily school life. The school as a space of building knowledge and of socialization can contribute to a holistic formation of young people, aiming at the promotion of just and ethical relations, as well as developing skills and competencies which are necessary for the current society which defines itself as multicultural and multi-religious. Faced with this context the importance of analyzing the management work becomes fundamental since the conduction of the activities carried out in the school space implies a broad vision of the pedagogical practices, of the peculiarities of the school, of the demands imposed by society and mainly, of the human dimension which is able to Interact, decide, motivate and articulate the educational process. The research presents a qualitative approach of an applied nature, which uses as support theoretical references, texts and articles of different authors on the chosen theme: Educational Management, as it contributes to an integrating education in the 21st century.
