Resumo:
The school community lives together every day, for most of the day. It is an intense coexistence marked by expectations, sensibilities and transformations and, therefore, care is the hallmark of this interaction. The starting point of this research is the understanding of the essence of what is most human in humanity – what mobilizes and impels people to dedicate themselves to others and also reveals their most basic needs, as social beings. Pastoral accompaniment is an important development that brings specific reflections to the theme. In this perspective, the school, in its essence, as well as everything that is done in the area of education, is care giving. In this environment, coexistence is established in the form of a network of social relationships and in it the mutual connection of care takes place. The dimensions of care are manifestations of humanity. From this, the interaction in a mutual support network at Colégio Sinodal de São Leopoldo is the object of study. Within this care network, the school ministry is added to the perception of needs and opportunities for interaction based on a specific insertion and an understanding of life and the world that comes from spirituality. With this, the specific contribution of school ministry at Colégio Sinodal is made: to develop spiritual intelligence.
