Resumen:
The present work is a research about the insertion of the categories of Gender and Sexuality in the pedagogical approaches within the Evangelical Youth (JE), which is an organization for the work with adolescents and young people in the context of the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil (IECLB). The methodology used in this study was Participant Observation. The analysis was developed over nine months of communal interaction and follow-up with a group of JE. The period began in February 2018 and was divided into two stages. The first lasted six months, in which the meetings with the students were accompanied without their knowledge of the research. In the second moment, in the final three months, interventions were carried out with the youth addressing issues related to gender and sexuality. The aim of this study is to investigate how they are, and / or how such themes can be approached within these ecclesiastical and religious spaces, especially in the field of Practical Theology and, more specifically, Christian Education. In order to elaborate the proposed discussions, authors were consulted that address transversal themes such as violence and gender justice from the feminist perspective, as well as the social construction of the gender concept. Another central point of the reflections presented here focuses on the theological perspective regarding sexuality, gender, religion and youth. From the analysis of the material produced during the meetings and the literature review, perspectives were formulated for the introduction of the above categories within religious communities, more precisely, within youth groups.
