Resumen:
The theme of the research is Children’s Ministry and its educational actions toward care and the formation of citizenship. The goal is to verify, through bibliographic research, how the Children’s Ministry uses education and the training of leaders to help in the health care of women and children and the training of leaders. The work of the children’s ministry is carried out by volunteers who are moved by solidarity, who, once they are capacitated, share their knowledge with the women/mothers with regard to caring and with the less privileged in the formation of citizens. Education is seen as an essential tool in the work of the Children’s Ministry because, besides providing literacy training for the people, it has its teaching pedagogy based on teaching from the concrete reality of the people. In this way, one can verify that literacy training occurs together with the citizen training, transforming the people who receive the services into active and aware agents of their citizen task. One concludes that the children’s ministry ends up helping in important services for the health of the women and children, as well as in the education with literacy training, these gaps not being filled by the State.
