Abstract:
The goal of this research is to verify, even though not exhaustively, the possibility and the efficacy of using the private and public educational system as an instrument for propagating sustainability awareness through eco-pedagogy, using, among others, concepts such as eco-training and eco-entrepreneurship. For this the procedure of bibliographic research will be used, based on current literature on the theme, as well as electronic research. The research is structured into three chapters. In the first, the concept of sustainability will be dealt with, as well as the evolution of the concern with the subject and the various areas of application and dimensions of sustainability. In the second chapter we will analyze pedagogy and education as instruments of transformation, as well as the rupture of paradigms in the pedagogy model and interdisciplinarity. In the third, we will analyze eco-pedagogy as a transforming path for the student, who, influencing initially, their families, can contribute to modifying the society related to awareness raising about planetary sustainability. It is about education from within to outside the school.
