Abstract:
The study has as its scenario the Congregations of the Igreja Evangélica de Confissão Luterana no Brasil [Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil] and researched the connection between Spirituality, Management and Sustainability as guiding principles for sustainable congregations. Through the bibliographic research, one perceived the recovery of the relevance of spirituality in different spaces and perspectives. Lutheran spirituality was researched with special attention. It has its foundation in the understanding of justification through grace and faith, which consequently, gives greater meaning to the missional essence of the Church and attributes to it a protagonist action. The emphasis on a qualified management with a wholistic view, with proposals and plans orientated by the mission of the Church and moved by spirituality collaborate with this process. The development of the different resources and the continuity of these is the challenge placed by the sustainability dimension which, through sustainability indicators, can verify the action, give visibility to the actions and permit the adjustments to the necessary changes so that the Church may have its social value recognized, fulfill its mission and guarantee its organizational and missional continuity.
