Resumen:
In this paper, I bring my experience of going through immersion in the feminist universe. It took place when I began my studies in the Professional Master’s program at the Faculdades EST in the Research Line: Gender, Feminisms and Diversity. Feminism has positively impacted my personal and professional life. Therefore, my formation experience is told through this life experience. The methodology of the Swiss sociologist Marie-Christine Josso provides a base for my telling, becoming a determining instrument to think about my way of being in the world, looking at two important times: the path I walked in the past and the one which I can follow in the future. In this time cut of my life narrative I reflected about how much feminism has made it possible for me to visualize what is being a woman in an androcentric society, where the predominant patriarchate subjugates women and maintains them hostages in a world where the men dictate the rules. Journeying toward myself made me see new and other possibilities of living, with knowledge and wisdom inter-relating. In this paper, I also tell how three important women: Christine de Pizán, Mary Wollstonecraft and Simone de Beauvoir inspired me with their trajectories and production. They were considered precursors of feminism, women ahead of their time. These authors had in common the defense of education as a form of independence for the women. Besides this, the paper presents the history of the Professional Master’s program and the importance of the Research Line in Gender, Feminisms and Diversity in my formation journey.
