Abstract:
In Brazil, the Ministry of Education adopts as a plan of action, the national policy of Special Education in the perspective of inclusive education, based on ethical principles and grounded in human rights. It proposes the valuation of all students in public and private education networks and respects individual differences during the educational process. In order to discuss the importance of special education in this perspective of inclusive education, from a multiprofessional perspective, the present work analyzes the inclusive pedagogical practices developed by the Specialized Educational Assistance Center(in Portuguese: Centro de Atendimento Educacional Especializado — CAEE)“Rosimar Honório Palhiana”, located in the Municipality of São João de Pirabas–PA. Practices implemented consisting of reception, permanent education, home visits, case studies, community meetings, therapeutic groups, participation in cultural events and actions with the municipal secretariats (health, assistance, culture, agriculture and the environment) are found In the process of implementation. The research was carried out through a bibliographic study and documentary analysis with a qualitative approach. The data were obtained through the analysis of information acquired from the CAEE. It was concluded that the CAEE contributes significantly to the policies of education, health and social assistance, thus assuming its role in the implementation of public policies focused on special and inclusive education, as well as for the training of professionals involved directly and indirectly with education in the municipality of São João de Pirabas–PA.
