Resumen:
It is not today that man does not know the true fundamental meaning to the existence of multiple cultures in the environment in which he lives. And this does not mean that he is sometimes able to accept the cultural diversity in which he is directly or indirectly inserted. For the school environment, working on cultural diversity, as well as values of identity and equality, religious or not, are called for by the recognition of cultural differences. Based on these thoughts, this work sought to describe the aspects of the myth of the Tower of Babel that contrast and influence the approaches and distances of cultural diversity existing in the school. For the religious, racial, sexual interculturality and other more present in the school environment, opens space for the discussion about the importance of the debate of cultural diversity in the school. Taking this work, the understanding that can be obtained on the theme within this learning environment, allowing to draw a critical view about how cultural diversity is interpreted in the contemporary, as it is worked in this educational space. It was a research with descriptive, bibliographic means, for exploratory purposes, according to the classification established by Vergara (2005). Consisting initially of the bibliographic mapping referring to the main authors that approach the chosen theme. Noting that there are some stigmas about the acceptance of people with different cultural aspects present in the same social life. For whom the school consists of an environment conducive to deconstruct these stigmatic aspects. It is also emphasized that the importance of working with cultural diversity in schools is essential for the training of citizens of human beings. Taking into account the role of the teacher and the school in this process as tools that guarantee the totality of the rupture of still frequent prejudices and inequality.
