Abstract:
Is it possible to think of a morally ethical education? Pedagogically, how does one present specific values of contemporaneity without a perspective of change? What are the technical and instrumental means of educational institutions (school, church, businesses) to research the current issues which refer to ethics and its respective behavioral critical reflections? Questions such as these permeate the whole work and penetrate the historical-social, cultural and educational environment. The thesis begins reflecting on the beginnings of Brazilian colonial education, theoretically indicating the main social implications in the construction of the ethical conscience of the Brazilian people. For as much as the philosophical foci or even the historical conditions vary, some notions, albeit quite abstract, remain firm and consistent in ethics. Since each historical happening has its season, and it shouldn’t be seen only in the peculiar circumstantial heat of the time in which it occurs, but it should also be seen in the sense that each happening validates the destiny of a culture which is inseparable from the existential process of the human species. The ethics and the morality applied to education are founded through the prism of criticity, particularizing each individual action. The reflections of this individual action should begin in the pedagogical action of the school in a perspective of dislodging the (moralist) accommodated ones of the current society. However, the concrete judgment of each action demands precisely all the ethical presuppositions. Hence the great challenge. Faced with massification, with the cultural industry, with the dictatorship of the means of communication and even with the political dictatorships how can youths be educated with autonomy of reflection? Understand how youth, consciously, know how to choose between good and evil in their decision making. The goal of this study is to analyze the conceptions of Ethics, Citizenship and Fundamental Rights in the education of youth in the professionalizing technical program of agriculture/livestock integrated in the high school program.
