Abstract:
The goal of this study is to highlight the school inclusion experienced in the Federal Institute of Ceará (IFCE) – Jaguaribe Campus – in the area of teaching and learning processes in the technical and higher level programs. This is a bibliographic and documental research. The theoretical referential used helps in the analysis of the policies directed toward school inclusion in the higher learning institutions, especially in the federal network of professional and technological education. The actions taking place in the IFCE were investigated considering the goals and actions of the Institutional Development Plan, the Pedagogical Project of the Course, the Regulation of the Didactic Organization, the Strategic Planning, laws and other documents, so as to get to know and evaluate the process of school inclusion on the campus being studied. The results propitiated a panorama about the reality of the institution, being configured as a fundamental diagnostic for the implantation and implementation of an inclusive process, the goal of which is quality education for all. The conclusion is that school inclusion on the campus that was investigated is happening, and in spite of the difficulties and impediments, a series of consolidated changes and actions favor the inclusive proposal and its acceptance by the school community. However, for inclusion to happen there is need for the adhesion of the whole academic community so that the educational proposals may aim at effective actions that lead to good performance of all the students.
