Abstract:
This dissertation explores the dimension of spirituality in the curricular component of Marista Brasil's life project in the new high school system. The central objective is to analyze how spirituality is integrated into the formative itinerary of the new secondary education in Marist schools in Brazil, focusing on the intersection between the recent educational reform and the construction of the life project for students in the 1st to 3rd year of secondary education. Adopting a qualitative methodology, the research highlights the relevance of a life project rooted in spirituality for young people at this crucial stage of their education. The results indicate that the dimension of spirituality is vital for the consolidation of a meaningful life project for high school students and tools such as ikigai and logotherapy itself can positively help in this solidification of life projects. The analysis reveals how spirituality, integrated into the educational curriculum, can positively influence the personal and academic development of students. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the importance of spirituality in education, especially in the context of secondary education reforms in Brazil, providing valuable insights for Marist educators, policy makers and school communities.
