Abstract:
This research aims to analyze the pedagogical practice in the perspective of the formation of teachers of Religious Education in the final years in the Elementary School of the State Education Network in the city of Manaus / AM. Starting from this premise, this research has as object of study the formation and the teaching practice in Religious Education in the Final Years in the Elementary School II in the Schools of the State Public System in Manaus / AM. According to the current legislation, this teaching is part of the normal curricular matrix of the public school and requires qualified and competent teachers. These conditions impose new requirements on Religious School Education and expand the requirements to professionals who can work in the area. Law No. 9,475 / 97 defines that the procedures for the qualification and admission of teachers of Religious Education fall within the education systems. This research sought to answer the following guiding question: How are teaching practices in Religious Education associated with the epistemological principles and legal assumptions of this area and the needs of students in schools from the State Public Network in the city of Manaus / AM? The specific objectives were: To identify historical and legal aspects that affect Religious Education throughout its existence in the State of Amazonas; epistemologically analyze Religious Education showing its relevance for the construction of knowledge in teacher education in Amazonas; to verify how the guiding principles and assumptions of Religious Education are articulated with pedagogical practice in Elementary Education in the final years. The training of teachers and the use of materials in teaching praxis, in the case of Religious Education, are not associated with fashion or the need for updating and with innovations, but are in the continuity of this training and serve to enhance the use of teaching tools capable of providing a more attractive and contextual approach to Religious Education. In this sense, a PhD research in Theology whose area of concentration is Religion and Education made this study possible. The research was carried out in a State School located in the West Zone of the city (CDE04) and in the Teacher Training Meetings. It used the qualitative methodology having as approach the descriptive exploratory study, the documentary analysis and interviews carried out with teachers and questionnaires for students of the school mentioned above. Theoretical support was based on authors who deal with methodology, teacher training in general, Religious Education. The discussion of the results is presented in a descriptive way from the analysis of the interviews and questionnaires, in the perspective of their implication for the way the theme of formation and the teaching praxis of Religious Education has been worked in schools, in the state system of education, teaching as a whole. This research work ends with the conclusions and recommendations, which were reached at this point, given the limits of the same and the certainty that much needs to be researched and transformed into scientific postulates with regard to the formation of teachers and its appropriate praxis in the insertion of education, especially in the Final Years of Elementary Education, through Religious Education.
