Abstract:
This proposed paper deals with sustainability and edification of the Protestant churches based on the use of management tools. Its goal is to present a set of management tools which could and should be used by the leaders of the Protestant churches who have lived a difficult reality in plain 21st century. The proposal of this paper is to offer pastors and leaders of the Protestant churches a guide for the management of these institutions, aiming at the sustainability and edification of the latter through their management process. To begin with, it was necessary to show the importance of using the management tools within the ecclesiastical environment, which could seem incoherent and meaningless for many Protestant Christians, including pastors and leaders in general. The paper continues, divided into chapters which dealt with fundamental themes of management, such as administrative and financial management, people management, communication management and project management; the paper ending with a proposal of an excellence model of management to be applied to Protestant churches.
