Abstract:
The theme of the research is the right to happiness in homosexual relations. Happiness is a right of all people and is directly tied to human dignity. However, there are sectors of society which intend to standardize this feeling with a bill about the family, ignoring social diversity. Thus, the goal of the research is to analyze philosophically and legally, through bibliographic research, the concept of happiness to guarantee it as a right and dignity for homosexual relations. The relation between religion and politics which converge in the so-called Evangelical Wing [of Congress – translator’s note] is reflected upon and these are seeking to standardize happiness according to their beliefs. The various religions have great differences in their dogmas or foundations, however, tolerance does not impede them from communally interacting in harmony and respect. In the same way, in relation to the homosexual union, one does not intend that it be recognized or sacramentalized, obviously. But, they cannot intend that other religions or even the State be impeded to do so. One cannot think about religion without tolerance and respect toward the human being.
