Resumen:
Based on the perception of the influence of the media on contemporary society, this work proposes to discuss some aspects of the relationship between media and religion, specifically in the context of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the State of Bahia.The historical contextualization of the relationship between media resources and religion, and a brief description of the musical content produced by TV Novo Tempo, are integral parts of this work. In addition, through a field research conducted with music directors functioning in the seventh-day adventist churches of that State, it was sought to verify to what extent the musical content produced by TV Novo Tempo influences the liturgy adopted in the worship services performed in such different congregations. The data obtained and presented help us to trace the profile of the music directors and to know, partially, the musical reality of the different ecclesial communities researched.
