Resumo:
The main goal of this paper is to analyze the practice of reading in the classroom with students of the program for Technician in Musical Instrument in the PROEJA modality, in the curricular component of Portuguese Language in the Manoel Novaes State Highschool, situated in Salvador/BA, based on the method of the parables of Jesus, to foment in them the taste for reading and reflection. One can observe in this research the inclination of the students toward reading, however these present difficulties in reading and textual interpretation, which compromise their institutional development as well as their professional work. The acquisition of these skills will enhance the learning of the contents of all the disciplines and the instrument practice of the professional in music. To dynamize the practice of reading, making it possible for the student to read with pleasure and for pleasure, one proposes, in order to acquire these skills, interpretative readings of the parables of Jesus as a textual genre to be worked in the Portuguese Language classes. The research presented here is classified as bibliographic and documental, since a review was made of some works on the subject with explicative, interpretative and evaluative surveys. The referred study has as its goal the application of the acquired knowledge and the change of behavior and attitude of the learners in the practice of reading as an instrument of understanding and transformation of society.
