Resumen:
The theme of this work is television as an evangelization tool in the Assemblies of God Evangelical Church, focusing on the Amazon, through the Rede Boas Novas [Good News Network] and its Boas Novas TV [Good News TV]. The goal is to verify what it is and how this evangelization takes place through television, a vehicle with the power to influence individuals in their choices. The research is bibliographic, on the one hand, to give foundation to the concepts, with a case study in a qualitative approach. It is divided into three chapters, presenting in the first chapter the case of the Boas Novas TV and its television programs, directed to diverse publics and ages, reproducing the programs on the social media. In the second chapter, we deal with television in Brazil, its origins, forms of concessions, television language and the power it has as former of opinion and constructor of “truths”. Finally, in the third chapter, evangelization through television is dealt with as well as its efficiency as a means of reaching the so- called masses. It considers ethics as fundamental in the conduction of this instrument of communication with the focus on evangelization, and, consequently, observing Christian ethics. Evangelization, carried out correctly, presupposes ethical conduct. Not observing ethics is against the principles of evangelization.
