Abstract:
The theme of this study are the social medias as a space used by the Evangelical Church of the Assembly of God in Amazonas (IEADAM) for evangelization. The research is of a qualitative, bibliographic character, and descriptive of the social medias used by the IEADAM. It analyzes the social medias based on a theoretical point of view so as to comprehend what this new space (cyberspace) is, what motivates the interactivity (cyber culture) and how religion is inserted in this context (cyber theology). It debates the ethical conceptions in the relations between the individuals in the social medias whose identities are often forged and the otherness shows itself to be vulnerable. The ethical conceptions point to a possible path to transform social medias into a proactive alternative space. Specifically, the Christian ethic comes to guide the Christian churches in this task. The social medias, inserted within a context of cyber culture, can become a space for evangelization, but the church must be aware of aspects such as de-territorialization, weakening of personal relations and of their ethical responsibilities in the use of these medias. Thus, the social medias should be used as a complement to the work of evangelization to not lose the community essence.
