Resumo:
In the last decades society has begun to perceive unequivocal signs of a weakening of the social relations, which has led to the questioning of the relevance of ethical principles and moral values as the foundations of the social and organizational structure based on the understanding that the organizations represent a sample of the social fabric. With the goal of contributing to the debate various authors have elaborated a relevant theoretical base with possible explanations for the precariousness which characterizes the social interaction in current times. We highlight within this perspective the Liquid Modernity of Bauman and Hypermodernity of Lipovetsky. In the scope of the Liquid Modernity, according to Bauman, society has become “liquid” and everything transforms itself constantly. The fluidity and the individuality are striking characteristics of the current times. Lipovetsky, on the other hand explains the characteristics of Hypermodernity. Contrary, in part, to the negative perception of Bauman, through the rediscovery of values connected to family traditions, religion, customs and habits of the past. He adds that in Hypermodernity everything happens with greater speed and dynamism than in the Liquid Modernity, and that flexibility, fluidity and the figure of Narcissus as a hedonist, are characteristics of Hypermodernity. For this paper a dense review of the literature related to the constitution, evolution and characteristics of the societies and their challenges, as well as of the emerging of Sociology and Positivism was carried out. Following, reference is made to the main ethics theories and their thinkers, besides characterizing the human and Christian values. After this, we deal with the Liquid Modernity of Bauman and Hypermodernity of Lipovetsky, with their concepts, values and differences. And finally the organizational environment is presented along with the behavioral analysis and profile of the administrator. In this way the intent is to contribute to a better reflection about the influence of Modernity on the behavioral aspect of the administrators, taking into consideration ethical principles that are supported by Christian values.
