Resumen:
The use of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) has become something common and constant in the daily life of a great part of the students, and, because of the improvement in education that is taking place in the country, the need to use these new ICTs in the teaching learning processes has become imperative. In this sense, the discerning use of the new ICTs is a challenge and a need for interacting with the world of the students. Such issues are also raised due to new requirements with an ethical character as well, since the new environments demand new didactic-pedagogical practices. This Conclusion Paper for the Professional Master’s program aims to provide reflections and information on attitudes taken by persons involved with the educational task as it relates to the use of the new ICTs in the process of teaching-learning. The teaching institutions need to recover their fundamental role and take on new concepts, aiming to offer a computerized, automated and current work with the world. The paper results from a bibliographic research based on readings of texts of authors involved in this theme. Traditionally, the technologies were limited, the students didn’t have access to information in real time and/or diversified and the teacher also, almost always, limited him or herself to traditional materials and technologies. The research seeks to reflect about the use of the new ICTs and what contributions they can give to a more dynamic and enriching class. The conclusion is that, when well planned and correctly used, the classes with the didactic-pedagogical instrumentation of the new ICTs can propitiate technical as well as operational learning, enriching the pedagogical as well as the awareness competencies leading the awareness of the students to levels of criticality which the correct exercise of citizenship demands. Thus, the teacher should know how to use the new ICTs and what the objectives are that he or she really wants to attain. When proposing activities where new ICTs will be used the students should receive resources which make possible and/or facilitate their learning for life.
