In many communities, the sacrament of confirmation has been the farewell sacrament of the Church. From theological-bibliographical research and pastoral reflections of the researcher, the present thesis looks to hear the adolescents at two levels: the adolescents committed with ecclesial enrollment, showing how they see and want that kind of Church works to them; and catechesis adolescents, comparing the gotten results and considering a new method of confirmation s catechesis. The new method takes care of to the expectations of the adolescents, because it adds the element leisure, the spirituality, the participations of the adolescents, a critical reading of the Bible, and it makes it through a monitored rupture of the religion transmitted by the parents, helping the adolescent to ripen and to fortify its faith, so that they remain in the Church Catholic after the reception of the sacrament. With the new rework of the faith from an equal s group and in a more critical perspective, the adolescents have possibility to form a group of young people, engaging themselves in the ecclesial community. The method was tested in a parish of the São Leopoldo periphery and it has showed its efficiency, according to gathered depositions.
