Abstract:
Reports of the two major TV news from Brazil National Journal and Journal of Record, were selected to analyze what the press publishes about religion. Journalism area joined the religion and ethics issues. In support of research ideas of the theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer selected. Contrary to what was thought in the 1960s, the world has not become secular and the sacred far. On the contrary, more and more people seek experiences with the supernatural. In the postmodern world there is the practice of the faith and the official data from the federal government show that, in Brazil, religion goes up. This shows that the human being can not disengage from the fascination of religion. The press is the major opinion maker. For this reason television was the vehicle chosen to analyze what is published about faith. An analysis of mass communication in the Brazilian context was produced. Another approach was searched on the positive and negative aspects of TV, most means of mass communication in the country. Another point analyzed in the research was today's religious landscape that needs to be understood by journalists who sets out to write about faith. Focuses on the ethical issue within the Journalism Code of Ethics and also shows the advantages of the professional look at the code in daily work.
