Resumen:
In this research we intend to answer the question: What interconnections of Transforming Education are present at the Imaculado Coração de Maria School, from the optic of the school s pastoral ministry? The school ministry gives identity to a confessional school. We analyzed the school ministry as a evangelizing space in the school environment. To do this we utilized the methodology of research-action. Students, parents, teachers and servants at this school were interviewed. As a theoretical referential, the historical-evangelistic methodology that consists in pastoral reflection based on observations and notes was utilized. This monograph contains four chapters. In the first chapter we approach the emancipating pedagogy in the perspective of Paulo Freire, analyzing the concept of a depositing education and the concept of a dialogic education. In the second chapter, we approach transforming education as the educative mission of the Teaching Sisters of Our Lady. We introduce historical aspects of the Congregation and the education principles on which their action is based. In the third chapter, we introduce the school ministry of the Imaculado Coração de Maria School: its conception and method as well as the theological foundations of this work: the Jesus Christ Project and the activities that were developed by this sector: education meetings, faith and life celebrations, youth groups, social projects and retreats. In the fourth chapter, we present some pastoral challenges for a world in change: advancing the inter-religious dialog and the respect for diversity, cultivating a Christian spirituality, educating for the solidarity and peace.
