Abstract:
Women and the ordination in the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in
Brazil (ECLCB) are new models and also other possibilities in daily existence of the
ordination ministry. Women s presence in the Church is old. However, this new and
important step, women s ordination in ECLCB, is recent. Shuffling the trunk showed
us that the presence of a masculine normative model made women face the
challenge of daring and trying new models, living other possibilities, treading new
roads, until they could find their own way of living the ministry. The discourse
hermeneutic and the feminist hermeneutic are experienced when we dare to interpret
some discourses of ordained women. And still a curious glance wants to reveal a
little of the existent relics on daily life, like speeches and also practices, as well as to
point challenges which will appear for us in order to think on continuity. This research
has as objective to notice and to make visible some of the challenges women find in
daily life of ordination ministry, but it also wants to point possibilities, showing positive
signs, daily experiences which can be growth and accomplishment signs for women
as well as for communities and for Churches in general, signs which women s
presence brings in that ministry.
