Resumen:
The present research tries to understand the Bible text as a religious-political project
in three different historical contexts where the biblical text was used as an instrument
of social and ideological intervention. The first context studied is the period of king
Josiah, who used the Deuteronomic Law as a unifying political factor. Then, the
literary production of the exilic period is analysed, specially the Priest Code and the
Deuteronomistic History, as well as the groups behind these texts. These documents
with their dreams and proposals were of great influence in the whole Persian period.
Thirdly, the Chronistic History is presented as a religious-political system of the
Second Temple. At last, the research focuses on the final composition of the
Pentateuch as the Law of the post-exilic Jewish community. The research tries, thus,
to identify the whole range of political and ideological aspects woven in the relevant
biblical texts of each period.
