Abstract:
The present study seeks to analyze the theme of people management and its possibility of interaction with the reality of coexistence and leadership in the environment of Protestant Christian churches. It begins with an integrative bibliographic review about people management, its activities and definitions, seeking through recognized works on the subject to present a classic opinion of what is addressed in business schools. It is then followed by a review of organizational behavior, which aims to demonstrate the interaction of people management with topics related to the behavior of individuals in the environment of organizations, such as teamwork, communication, motivation, leadership, management of conflicts among others. It concludes with an integrative review, in works of ecclesiastical management and Christian leadership about the relevance of the themes previously addressed to the organizational reality of Protestant Christian communities. It also examines the importance of people in leadership positions, especially in pastoral positions, to know and act in front of the community equipped with knowledge about the issues of people management and organizational behavior. In this way, it demonstrates the possibility and relevance of the dialogue between people management and leadership relationships in the ecclesiastical environment. Regarding this point, the research also deals with a documentary research that aims to evaluate the presence and depth of people management themes in the basic formation of Protestant Christian leaders, verifying in the curricula of certain theological seminaries of pastoral formation the presence of curricular components that directly or indirectly deal with people management issues.
