Abstract:
This work consists of a study on spirituality from the perspective of the management of educational institutions. Understanding the numerous challenges that managers face in their practices, this work aims to understand if spirituality can be used as a resource to help the manager to deal with human beings who present anxiety behaviors. The concept of spirituality, in this context, is understood in a broader way, detaching it from the strictly religious vision. Furthermore, the anxiety pointed out in this work has the phenomenological-existential view as its guiding character, presenting the symptoms of anxiety as signs of life changes and, not as a characteristic of paralysis and illness. In addition, the understanding of the level of anxiety that has affected education professionals, in a world surrounded by crises of different natures, calls on managers to find new strategies for care and prevention of illness. Understanding the universe of possibilities that spirituality offers and its application in the life of the human being brings a possible path to the construction of policies aimed at valuing this human aspect, often forgotten, understanding the human being in a view based on the biological-psycho-socio-spiritual vision recommended according to the World Health Organization.
