Resumen:
The present thesis is a bibliographical research on the theme of mentoring and its possible importance in the formation and monitoring of ecclesiastical leaders, as well as ascertaining its relevance for ecclesiastical ministers to maintain regularity in their experience of Christian spirituality. It seeks to delimit what is understood as ecclesiastical ministry (an environment within which the importance of mentoring is to be verified) and the definition of ecclesiastical ministry is made from and within the invitation to discipleship and the ecclesiastical ministry is conceptualized as a profession of care. It also checks possible causes that can cause the illness of people who exercise the ministry and brings a brief case study of three situations in which the practice of mentoring (even if not named) was present in the Holy Scriptures. Finally, the definition of the term Christian spirituality is sought, as well as the relationship between the practice of mentoring and the experience of spirituality in the ecclesiastical ministry.
