Resumo:
This study has the perspective of discussing the importance of gender and sexuality issues in teacher training throughout the research I have done of documents from Unesco. Its general goal is to perceive how the gender and sexuality issues are or are not present in teacher training confronted with contemporaneous debates on these issues. We sought to verify the teacher’s role faced with the importance of the gender and sexuality issues in the school, through bibliographic research, and identify the academic actions of initial and continuing teacher training confronted with the relevance of the gender and sexuality issues. The methodology used was bibliographic research. Throughout the work the concepts of gender, sexuality, teacher training are analyzed. In conclusive terms, it is pointed out that there is a need that these issues be contemplated in teacher training, promoting openness to debate of these themes.
