Resumo:
The goal of this study is to present a concise bibliographic review about religiosity, elucidating how the healers, folk healers and prayer healers continue to be involved in the formation of the mythic being, making viable the faith in the practice of folk healing or faith healing to obtain the healing of the evils of the spirit and of the body. This act makes the study pertinent for researchers, students, professionals of the area and those interested in the theme. A deep bibliographic review, including critical analysis, literary interpretation and comprehension of selected texts referring to the theme, “Religiosity, considering healers, folk healers and prayer healers in the formation of the mythic being – faith in the practice of folk healing – healing of the evils of the spirit and of the body”, was used as the methodology.
