Gestalt-terapia e itinerário espiritual: uma integração possível no setting terapêutico

Abstract

This paper has the goal of establishing possible relations between the theoretical contribution of the Gestalt-therapy and the process known as Spiritual Itinerary based on the writings of Philo about Therapists of Alexandria. The work is inserted in the line of research Dimensions of care giving and social practices and is configured as a bibliographic research. Gestalt-therapy has an existentialist and humanist look which makes possible a holistic perception of the human being as a being of constant evolution and learning. The stages of the Spiritual Itinerary are consistent with a process of holistic growth in a crossing which corresponds to an experience of depth which exists in every human being. In the first chapter, the identity of the professional therapist known as a psychologist is described and soon after, the therapists of the desert and their journey within the Spiritual Itinerary are portrayed, describing each stage of this process. In the second chapter, the main concepts of the theory of Gestalt-therapy are described. In the third chapter, a correlation is built between these two dimensions to demonstrate that the Spiritual Itinerary can be visualized under the perspective of Gestalt-therapy with the intent of helping in the process of psychological growth of the human being.
