A influência dos contos infantis populares no desenvolvimento da fé nas crianças: uma avaliação em uma perspectiva adventista

Abstract

Telling stories brings undeniable benefits to those who tell them and to those who hear them, permitting emotional, psychological, pedagogical, cultural conquests and conquests on the faith level. This research, carried out through bibliographic survey, analyzes the importance of the children’s narratives for the moral and spiritual development of the children, the way that some characters such as the villains and heroes and heroines help in the construction of the concept of good and bad and evaluates the reasons for the little use of the popular narratives in Adventist Education. The theme will be dealt with in a general perspective as well as in a specific perspective (Adventist). The Adventists have shown a historic reluctance in using the popular children’s narratives because of the comprehension of some texts of Ellen White. This research can help bring a new understanding to Ellen White’s texts with regard to the popular children’s narratives, and reveal the benefits of the use of stories and narratives for children.
