O discipulado numa perspectiva bíblica, teológica e pastoral

Abstract

The goal of this study is to present a more ecclesiastical comprehension about the process of discipleship and its applicability in the local church, taking in account the theological, pastoral and biblical context of some passages of the Holy Scriptures, especially the passage of the Gospel of Mark 3:14. The research is organized in four chapters. In the first one, an analysis is made of the calling to discipleship taking into account the steps present in the text of Mark 3:14. In the second one, after reviewing the process of Jesus’ calling the disciples, one seeks to understand what a disciple is, their formation within Biblical theology, characteristics and the meaning of being a disciple of Jesus. The third chapter describes a comprehension, definitions and benefits of discipleship, taking into consideration the Biblical principle of Jesus’ discipleship and the joining of discipleship and evangelistic mission, aiming at the implantation of the discipleship process in the local church. The fourth chapter highlights the relevance and contribution of discipleship in the prevention of the evasion of new members and thus contains the apostasy within the local church ambience. Finally, a conclusion of the study is presented giving discipleship predominance as a way of life and showing the five advantages of discipleship in the missiological structure of a discipling church.
