A invisibilidade das crianças no interior das Igrejas neopentecostais

Abstract

: The Neo-Pentecostal churches have greatly grown in the country and there is no longer any way of knowing how many there are officially. What the 2010 Census managed to prove was that the number of Evangelicals has reached 22.2% of the population and that half of this percentage corresponds to children and adolescents. Faced with this reality, this research proposes analyzing how the faithful little ones are perceived in the new churches and what type of Christian education is provided. Considering the hypothesis that the Neo-Pentecostal church has not welcomed and included children in their regular programs, argumentation is presented about the causes of the social invisibility to which some social groups are exposed. The need for a pedagogical proposal aiming at the development of a Christian education directed toward the child, is emphasized. A result of using this type of education is that a feeling of belonging to the Evangelical community which educates the child is developed. Thus, in this work concepts of child, education, Christian education, social invisibility and pedagogical proposal are detailed. Also, churches which develop Christian education in their trajectory are cited as well as Christian editors which have in their line of production excellent books, magazines, journals and other support materials to be used by teachers and children.
