This research was carried out with the aim of analyzing the norms of Family Law and Canon Law related to the baptism of children from stable relationships, seeking a comprehensive understanding of the topic through the comparison of different authors and the methodical explanation of the legal system. The research also discussed issues involving the Catholic Church, considering its doctrines on marriage and stable unions, and their implications for the legal recognition of these relationships. The study adopted a robust methodology, using indirect documentation and varied sources, and recognized the importance of the social and cultural context for the analysis of the legal and theological phenomenon.
