Estas casas de estudio durante los dos años de curso de maestría enfocaron la temática Teología y VIH/SIDA, manteniendo sus currículos en teología en las diversas áreas y en las demás especialidades. Esta experiencia innovadora posibilitó que por vez primera, en América Latina, cuatro instituciones de estudio en teología se envolvieran con una misma temática, ofreciendo la posibilidad de intercambio de conocimiento.
