dc.descriptionLas facultades de teología que participaron de este proyecto fueron: Escola Superior de Teologia, São Leopoldo, Brasil; Instituto Universitario ISEDET, Buenos Aires, Argentina; Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia; Universidad Bíblica Latinoamericana, San José, Costa Rica. Estas casas de estudio durante los dos años de curso de maestría enfocaron la temática Teología y VIH/SIDA, manteniendo sus currículos en teología en las diversas áreas y en las demás especialidades. Esta experiencia innovadora posibilitó que por vez primera, en América Latina, cuatro instituciones de estudio en teología se envolvieran con una misma temática, ofreciendo la posibilidad de intercambio de conocimiento.es

dc.description.abstractEl VIH/SIDA no sólo afecta la vida del individuo, sino que envuelve a toda la sociedad. Según Gustavo Gutiérrez, puede ser considerado una señal de los tiempos que nos lleva a reflexionar sobre lo que sucede en la historia y desafía a nuevos discernimientos. La idea de pecado en relación al sexo y al VIH/SIDA continúa presente y crea la marginalización en las iglesias y en la sociedad. Por eso, una teología liberadora no puede dejar de lado esta causa de sufrimiento humano y necesita incluir el tema en sus reflexiones. Con esta perspectiva fue elaborado el proyecto de estudios Teología y VIH/SIDA en América Latina.es
