A supremologia do STF frente à religião: a intervenção do Estado na liberdade religiosa

A supremologia do STF frente à religião: a intervenção do Estado na liberdade religiosa
The research topic is the relationship between the State and religion in Brazil, analyzed from the perspective of secularism and religious freedom. The objective is to analyze the relationship between the State and religion in Brazil, in light of the principle of secularism and religious freedom, with special attention to the decisions of the Supreme Federal Court. Starting from the observation that the Brazilian State, although constitutionally secular, presents ambiguous and selective practices regarding religious expressions, the research proposes a more comprehensive study on the subject, the supremacy of the STF, in order to describe how the judiciary, especially the STF, has operated as the supreme instance in defining the contours of the sacred and the secular in the public sphere. It also describes how religion, especially through religious groups, has operated to achieve hegemony. The thesis is structured around three main axes: the theoretical and historical foundation of the concept of State, religion and secularism, highlighting the evolution of human rights and the plurality of forms of secularism; This work presents an empirical examination of paradigmatic cases judged by the Brazilian Supreme Court (STF), such as those during the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of crucifixes in public spaces, confessional religious education, the use of religious clothing in official documents, etc.; and a critical problematization that denounces the selectivity and moral hegemony in judicial decisions, proposing a theological and sociopolitical reinterpretation of state action. By adopting a multidisciplinary approach that engages with Theology, Philosophy, Politics, and Law, it demonstrates that the current secular model in Brazil allows for state interference that weakens the secular state and the religious freedom of non-hegemonic groups. In this vein, "supremology" designates not only the legal power of the STF, but also its symbolic capacity to define which religious manifestations are recognized as legitimate in the public sphere. Methodologically, it adopts a historical-analytical approach, based on a review of specialized literature and the analysis of primary and secondary sources, as well as public opinion research. This research proposes pathways for building a secularism that recognizes religious pluralism as a pillar of contemporary democracy and promotes public governance committed to human rights and respect for the diversity of beliefs.

O direito ao exercício da espiritualidade como concretização do princípio da dignidade da pessoa humana através do compliance jurídico
The objective of this study was to investigate how spirituality can be integrated into ESG criteria (Environmental, Social, and Governance) within legal compliance programs, focusing on the realization of personality rights and the strengthening of the principle of human dignity. Using an interdisciplinary approach connecting Theology, Law, and Organizational Management, the study analyzed the practical and theoretical impacts of this integration on corporate environments and governance. The research highlighted that spirituality transcends religiosity and acts as an essential dimension for humanizing organizational relationships. It provides a counterpoint to the dehumanization often present in contemporary corporate practices, fostering a more inclusive, ethical, and collaborative work environment. Additionally, the role of spirituality in expanding the concept of human dignity was emphasized, encompassing not only material aspects but also the subjective and spiritual dimensions of the individual. The study presented the benefits of spiritualized leadership, which strengthens trust and cooperation within teams, contributing to the personal and professional development of employees. It also pointed out the challenges related to implementing spiritualized practices, such as respecting cultural and religious diversity, alongside the need for leadership training and the creation of inclusive policies. As a result, it was found that integrating spirituality into legal compliance programs and ESG criteria not only promotes more ethical and sustainable corporate governance but also reaffirms the centrality of the human being in organizational practices. This approach transforms the corporate environment, aligning efficiency with dignity, and offers a management model committed to human values and social justice.

“Do templo à rede: o descolamento das práticas religiosas do físico para o virtual no caso Jesus.Net”
This study aimed to investigate the replacement of in-person religious practices with online ones, particularly in the context of Jesus.net, during the pandemic period and the mediatization process of Christian churches. Adopting a qualitative and exploratory approach, the research used techniques such as bibliographical research and records for data collection. The analysis began by addressing the migration from in-person to digital worship, focusing on the biblical passage of Mt 18.20 and exploring the equivalence of online meetings with congregations. Under the influence of the pandemic and the digital age, the role of social networks, such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, in everyday life and the impact on the dissemination of faith and the study of the Bible was examined. The study highlighted the relevance of "mediatization" in the transition from the physical to the virtual environment, using Jesus.net. The question was whether digital discipleship can effectively replace in-person evangelization, with an emphasis on how institutions and individuals adopt digital approaches to discipleship. Based on Revelation 1.7, it was suggested that the internet could contribute to the fulfillment of biblical prophecies, emphasizing "mediatization" as a key to realizing the "go" of Mark 16.15. The hypotheses raised aimed to optimize the reach of the gospel, including teaching the use of social networks during discipleship and encouraging Christians to see their social networks as an extension of the ministry.
