Abstract: The Brazilian territory no longer aggregates its biomes in the original form similar to the time when the Europeans arrived here, in 1500. A significant percentage of its forests has already been eliminated, either due to the urbanization process or due to agricultural practices. It is also worth noting the actions taken by the owners of logging companies, who continue to deforest in areas not permitted by environmental control and inspection bodies. For this reason, ecological reserves arise in order to delimit an area of protection
for animal and plant species present in a given region. This delimitation is established by human beings in an attempt to curb anthropic actions. In this sense, the focus of this research study is the advance of human action in the Wenceslau Ecological Reserve and how the NGO Associação Religiosa Cultural e Ambientalista Wenceslau Monteiro (ARCA) acts to contain this advance and make ecotourism viable in the district of Porto dos Santos, located on the Island of Itaparica, state of Bahia. The historicity and mystique of the place are important attractions for many people who visit the place. By attracting so many people to the Reserve, it already makes the area vulnerable. Allied to this fact is the imminent construction of the Salvador-Itaparica Bridge, a construction that has stimulated disorderly occupation within the Reserve area. In this sense, the NGO ARCA facilitates partnerships with municipal schools for the implementation of ecological educational practices, realizing the protagonism of education in the role of forming conscious citizens, forming a human being who defends their place and with it establishes identity and a sense of belonging. By promoting these practices, ARCA pays homage to the one who inspired the care for the place: the hermit Wenceslau Monteiro. Caring for people and all types of beings that inhabited Rio dos Milagres, in addition to respect for every form of search for the sacred, thus evidencing his ecumenical behavior.

Abstract: This is a bibliographical research whose object of investigation is the assumptions of the Historical-Critical Method of biblical interpretation. The general objective of this investigation is to seek to relate the assumptions of the Historical-Critical Method and its impact on biblical interpretation, in addition to conceptualizing the method, describing its origins, relating its methodological steps and its assumptions. The research is divided into three chapters. The first addresses the origins of the Historical-Critical Method and its methodological steps. The second discusses the assumptions of the Historical-Critical Method arising from rationalism and the work of the German theologian Johann Salomo Semler. The third talks about the impact of the assumptions of the Historical-Critical Method on biblical interpretation. Through this study, the historical, theological and philosophical context of the emergence of the Historical-Critical Method is verified, in addition to the distinction between its methodological steps. The contributions of rationalism and Johann Salomo Semler to the method's assumptions were listed. Positions regarding the impact of applying the method were also reported. It is concluded that the assumptions of the Historical-Critical Method influence biblical interpretation, as it is a method that fails in its objectivity, denies the divine inspiration of the Scriptures and reinterprets the supernatural contained in the texts as an adaptation to the myths of the time of its composition.

Abstract: In Brazil, the relationship between religion and the media attracts attention because of its intensity. The media continues to be saturated with agendas connected to spirituality. Sometimes proselytizing representations and media activism stand out with the intention of expanding political power. However, we also have religious institutions that promote dialogue and service to society. Therefore, this work sought to analyze the press office on the websites of Christian communities in order to understand the feasibility of interactions with the public. For this purpose, we examined the group that, according to IBGE numbers, is part of the ten largest Christian denominations and includes the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church, the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil, the Baptist Church and the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The sample followed a non-probabilistic choice, based on the ease of access to documents on the official websites of these denominations. Thus, between October 2021 and March 2022, the use of professional and targeted communication by the press office was studied in terms of dialogue with the community and the press. In the first chapter, we identified reflections and feedback on the ecclesiastical identity, culture and image, in addition
to interactive communication elements. In this context, we consider the deepening of the intermingling of religion and media in the contemporary Brazilian scenario. Finally, we evaluated the reach of the news contained in the websites, carried out with the proper journalistic techniques, and the viability of a good press office, measured via media exposure, navigation conditions in a communication network and investment in the dissemination of the public image. The results include the maintenance of religious dialogue, without the utilitarian treatment of the media and the ecclesiastical strengthening of identity, cultural and visual ties.

Abstract: The dissertation presents a narrative discussion on King Josiah reform under the bias of deuteronomist history. It covers the period of 31 years of rule from 640 BC. when he begins his reign at the age of eight until his premature death in 609 BC. [perpetrated] by Pharaoh Necho II of Egypt. Josiah's religious reforms were driven by the imposition of the rural nationalist elite in alliance with the royal court men, temple priests, and merchants. A reform where the political dominance of the supporters of the Deuteronomist theology stood out, defended in favor of nationalism, political freedom and the purification of the temple of everything that resembled the culture and syncretic cult of the oppressive Assyria. The reform took place in several stages with purification of the temple, with the overthrow of altars in high places in Jerusalem, in the villages of Judah and in the cities of the North. Also, from the utopian project of unification of the kingdom of Samaria belonging to Assyria. In the midst of these religious and political reforms, there was an important reform of the masonry infrastructure of the temple building, during which the book of the law is found and it motivated the intensification of the reformist movement and culminated with the celebration of Easter institutionalized as a State festival in the eighteenth year of reign. Josiah managed to break free from the weakened Assyrian yoke and tried to unify part of the northern kingdom to the Judean kingdom. The preaching of the prophets, and their written messages influenced the political decisions of the young king. Deuteronomistic writers were responsible for much of what was written in the period of Josiah's reign. Part of the contents of what was produced in this historic period of the reforms were appropriations of sources and traditions of the Northern kingdom of Israel that, from 722 BC, the fugitives, when they emigrated to Judah and Jerusalem, took with them. The reforms benefited the elite of the temple, the court and the landowners, but ultimately harmed many peasants in the rural villages and towns of Judah who were not reached by the changes proposed in the reforms. By destroying the altars of worship in the rural area, the reference of culture and faith of these people was lost, since many of them were spiritually oriented, had their guidance and even “economic” help coming from these places of worship. Marginalized groups who did not participate in the benefits arising from the centralization of worship in the temple in Jerusalem were penalized and suffered the social consequences as with any and all reforms.
