Resumo:
This research explores the theme of adoption from a multidisciplinary focus. Throughout history adoption has been a possibility for women and men to fulfill the maternal and paternal desire. The history of the people of God is filled with examples of adoption, a concept which leads even to the relation of the human being with God. From a legal perspective one perceives an evolution of society with regard to the condition of the family constituted by socio-affective ties, this being a condition for the holistic development of the human being. The ties constituted as of the adoption create socio-affective kinship ties based on conviviality and affective openness toward the other person.
