Resumo:
This study aims to investigate the dynamics of welcoming families bereaved by suicide within church communities. It addresses the themes of mourning and suicide from the perspective of dialogue between Psychology and Pastoral Care, the faith community as a space for care and an interdisciplinary model for accompanying the bereaved. It presents postvention as an alternative for welcoming, seeking comprehensive care for survivors. The methodology used in this study is bibliographic research. The results indicate that multidisciplinary welcoming is essential for the well-being of bereaved families, presenting support groups as a strategy to meet this demand. It was concluded that the integration between Psychology and Pastoral Counseling can offer more complete and humanized care to these families, covering emotional and spiritual aspects as maintainers of mental health. Finally, the study presents a support group model for bereaved survivors of suicide as a tool for resilience and emotional recovery.
