Abstract:
The research that will be presented comprises the academic work of theoretical, bibliographic research and deep reflection on the origin and development of the concept of post-truth, which is intimately connected to a broader discussion about the concept of post-modernity, which is subordinated to a series of distinct fields, from art to sociology, passing through some historical records, anthropology, theology and philosophy. It intends to present an analysis of the current pluralist society, which directly conjectures and shapes individuals, whether due to ethnic, religious, cultural diversity or the prevailing relativism. Elements that make up the conjunctural framework that allow the affinity of various social devices to form a certain rational action with a view to certain behaviors. This scenario challenges the proclamation of the Christian faith. Thus, this work is relevant insofar as: it contributes to the understanding of a current concept; makes an accurate reading of the homiletical practices of a number of renowned preachers of today, the best of the best in the last 25 years. This research provides Christian preachers with analytical tools for cultural understanding; it makes dialogue with theology and culture; reflects on homiletics and post-truth. It ponders critically and biblically to elaborate and structure the preaching, basis and foundation of the Church. With the purpose of announcing the Christian faith, with clarity and simplicity, but without, however, distorting, relativizing or altering the Holy Scriptures, maintaining the authenticity of the principles and values of the Kingdom of God, this final work of the master's degree wants to enable a dialogic perspective responsibly with society, being grateful for the good things it offers and, on the other hand, how we can firmly and faithfully apply the gospel of Jesus Christ to it, which is non-negotiable.
